Alexa… play “Willing to Wait” by Rihanna, because that’s how I’ve been feeling for what feels like a century. If you couldn’t tell from my previous blogs, I am a HUGE Rihanna fan, and have become an even bigger superfan once she launched her successful FENTY empire. Truly a jack of all trades, Rihanna does not shy away from a business opportunity and her success and tenacity is truly admirable as she has experienced immense success in every business endeavor and venture she partakes in. Not only is she an award winning singer, actress, and songwriter, but she also is the founder and creator of her own empire, FENTY, including Savage X Fenty, FENTY BEAUTY, FENTY SKIN, and newly introduced FENTY Eau de Parfum.
Aside from my excitement surrounding the drop of her new single “Lift Me Up” which will be featured in the upcoming Black Panther 2 film, as well as her recent Super Bowl announcement, I have truly admired Rihanna’s tenacity and work ethic as she has been able to successfully juggle being an artist, business woman, mother, and family woman. Though I am a little biased because of how much I love Rihanna as a person, I can genuinely attest to the quality of her products, especially her FENTY BEAUTY products. Rihanna created FENTY BEAUTY so that women everywhere would be included, focusing on a wide range of traditionally hard-to-match skin tones, developing formulas that suit and cater to all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades. Her vision, above all, is to inspire. I love how Rihanna says “makeup is there for you to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.”
Since its launch in 2017, FENTY BEAUTY has since become a beauty empire, taking the beauty industry by storm. Unlike other celebrity beauty brands and launches, Rihanna took FENTY BEAUTY to another level as its rich brand is rooted in breaking boundaries, norms, and records with a refreshingly inclusive approach and an equally diverse product range. More impressively, unlike other major beauty brands, Rihanna owns half of FENTY BEAUTY and shares ownership with LVMH. Not only is FENTY BEAUTY housed within LVMH, but FENTY BEAUTY can be found at your local Sephora, ULTA, or even at FENTY BEAUTY pop-up shops. Additionally, since its launch back in 2017, FENTY BEAUTY has since expanded upon its product portfolio and its products have won the hearts of many, including myself.
